State Farm Park fun!!

Well, now that summer has almost officially left us, I am finally getting around to posting some pics of one of our most favorite summer hangouts - State Farm Park. These pics were taken early in the summer, but they show some of the boys' favorite parts of the water park.

Here they are, in serious discussion at the top of the yellow slides. They got much better at taking turns this year, finally realizing that they were not the only ones who liked the yellow slides:).

Brock, headed down backwards. This must have been what they were discussing at the top, because this is a no-no at SFP. Feet first, facing up is the only way you can slide:).

Kyle, following suit - they are lucky if they didn't get the lifeguard whistle blown at them for this little stunt!!

Headed back for more - after some instruction from dad to play it straight.

A classic Kyle move - the thumbs up sign for Daddy. For some reason, he and his dad have adopted this as their special sign:).

Now on to the upper deck. This part is best in the evening - usually almost empty (in stark contrast to during the morning and early afternoon when it's crazy with little ones). The boys were much more tolerant of the spraying water features this year - not as concerned if their faces got wet. Yea - progress!!

This "squirter gun" was also a big accomplishment for the boys this summer. It's kind of difficult to make it spray, and they finally mastered it on their own - watch out lifeguards:)!!

Discussing, I'm sure, how long each should get to have a turn before sharing:).

There are a few favorite elements that I missed getting pictures of - the lazy river (kind of hard to float and take pictures without getting the camera wet) and the "squirting project" (The boys lovingly named the spray pad area - not sure where or how they came up with this name. It's a B&K original:). I guess those pics will have to wait for next year, as our season at the park has again come to a close:(. We'll miss you, SFP!! Can't wait to see you in the spring!!
