The last weekend of September, we shipped Ali off to Grammy and Papa's house and took the boys down to St.Louis for some fun. We started off our day at the Magic House - so cool!! We had never been there before, and were thoroughly impressed with the number and variety of exhibits. Both we and the boys had a great time and it was fun to spend some time just doing "big boy" stuff!!
We loved the bubble room - especially this one that would surround you in a big bubble. A few weeks after this, Kyle smelled my dish soap and said, "Mom!! That's the same smell as the bubbles at the Magic House!!". He was right - so impressed with his memory!

This magnet exhibit held their attention for a long time. Brock especially loved it!
This was kind of cool - can't remember what it was called, but it was like a pipe organ w/ water bubbles. Kyle was enticed:).
The water table was ultra cool!
And the boys both loved the sand area.

These air tubes never seem to get old. They have played with them on several occasions at the Children's Discovery Museum in B/N, but they still kept them entertained for a good stretch.
Next, it was on to the construction zone!
This place was so cool - especially if you're a 4 1/2 year old boy. There was a high-rise building that you could help "build",
a house under construction where you could work on the plumbing and wiring,
and a gravel pit where you could dig - for HOURS! Literally!!
I think they would have stayed here all day if we had let them!
Kyle is working on the plumbing for a the new sink. Think his skills will translate into help at home:)??

Then it was out to the "creek" for some wading. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we sat in the sun for a long time watching the boys play in the water.
Kyle loved the little rubber ducks floating the the water. He captured all of them:)! Here he is on the island counting his flock.

It was a good thing that Mom had brought along extra clothes the for ballgame - We'd have had 2 very uncomfortable boys as they were completely soaked after their creek excursions.
We had a great time, and the Magic House is definitely on our list of places to return to!!
